More Presentations, Please!

We are now in the second quarter of the school year! Can you believe it? Our students have been busy with new presentations. It's amazing to see how much they are involved and invested in their works. Last week, we had so many new presentations and representations. The children were re-inspired to choose works that they might have forgotten about. There were also so many new Practical Life works that was even exciting for me, as an adult to try out! =) I love how invigorating Montessori is! Look at all the beautiful things that went on in Room 101 last week:

Look at our peg people with "clothes on". This is a simple yet very engaging way to promote fine motor skills and practice the pincer grip.

Giving Thanks!

Hello, everyone!

I want to extend my thanks to everyone that is a part of our classroom community. I am truly grateful for all of your love and support! 

Parent-Teacher conferences were a success! It is very nice meeting and hearing from every family. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me when you have questions or comments.

Last week, we celebrated Thanksgiving with lots of read aloud and discussions on how we are thankful for the people and things around us. It has been our classroom tradition to create a Thankful Tree (or wreath). We also made pumpkin bread to eat at Sunset meeting. We made enough to share with the other EC classrooms and take some home. We also read about Native Americans and their cultures. We read beautiful stories about them and discussed about family, happiness, contentment and other wonderful traits highlighted by the indigenous cultures.

Room 101 is always open! =)
