Pumpkin Soup and the Harvest Fest

Hello, everyone!

This post is long over due. The children had a tremendously great time at the Harvest Fest. More importantly, I noticed that our students enjoyed food preparation so much! Yes, our Snack work is our daily snack preparation that help foster the skills they learn in the Practical Life area. But preparing the pumpkin soup for the Harvest Fest and sharing our soup with everyone took the activity to the next level. The children were beaming with happiness! I am sharing some LOTS of pictures here.

Also, I am asking for your support. We have a snack preparation project on Donorschoose that will expire in 27 days! This project will help purchase new appliances for our classroom so we can consistently "cook" in the classroom. I wish for the students to experience the whole cycle of food preparation from cleaning the ingredients to sharing their food to the other classrooms. Please share this link to all of your friends and families.

Thank you for your support and enjoy the pictures!
