Student-made Books and Everything In Between

“The child, making use of all that he finds around him, shapes himself for the future.”
                                                                                                                -Maria Montessori

Hello families!

I can't believe that this school year is almost to its end. Our students continues to work and collaborate with each other. Book making has been a very popular work the past few weeks. It is very interesting to see the range of book making abilities! Everyone is an author in Room 101! I'm sure your child has brought home a book he/she made at work time. Please encourage them to read them to you. The children have been making stories and non-fiction books about animals, color and bugs to name a few. They are honing their fine motor skills and working hard with developing their phonemic awareness by sounding out words and writing them how they hear it. Its such a beautiful stage of development. Read more here.

See you at school!

Always,

Ms. Guerrero

Student-made books are beautiful!

Right after the children finish their work, the question is: "Can I make a book?"

Of course, you can!
