Collage

My students has been working on tearing, cutting and pasting. These activities help with their fine motor skills and pincer grip. I showed them a lesson on collaging wherein they are able to combine the different activities to create their own art. Please enjoy the process and final product of this collage lesson through the pictures shared below. Thanks for looking!

You Can't Catch the Gingerbread Man Part 2

Hello and Happy New Year!

This post is long over due but the wait is over. This is a collection of pictures featuring the other activities we had for our gingerbread unit.

We compared and contrasted different versions of gingerbread stories.

We charted the different characters, settings, refrains and endings.
The kindergarteners partnered up and made their own venn diagrams.
They were also able to share and explain their work to the class.

Everyone decorated their own gingerbread cookie based on which character was their favorite.

The children chose their favorite version and the whole class made a graph.
